If you're not ready to trash the dress, consider donating your gown to charity.  Donated dresses are sold at discounts, and all proceeds go to charity.  This is win-win-win all over--you've found a positive way to clean some space in your closet, someone else gets a dream dress they can afford, and a charity gets some financial support.

What a sweet Idea!
I suppose some girls hold onto their dresses for sentimental reasons, but what better way to dispose of old clothes. Who said it just needed to be wedding clothes? Still though, a sweet gesture. Thanks for the idea!

This really is win-win for everyone! Plus it is really cool to know that the dress you wore on the happiest day of your life is helping to make another bride have a great day too!

This is something that truly should be considered today, thank you for bringing this forth.

Great idea! Most gowns go out of style, so while the idea of saving them is sweet, it can also be a burden to the poor girl who "inherits" a gown she doesn't really want to wear. If you donate, someone can use the gown while its still the height of fashion.
